I-Netlink Taps Redline for Backhaul
09/14/2004
Manitoba-based I-Netlink has selected Redline Communications’ AN-50 broadband wireless equipment to handle backhaul on the carrier’s new 30-link broadband wireless network.
The project will provide more than 40,000 people in more than 60 communities within a 100-mile radius of Manitoba's Brandon region with high-speed Internet access.
I-Netlink Wireless, a subsidiary of network service provider InfoMetrics Inc., was formed with the mandate to bring broadband services to rural communities. Project funding has been provided by I-Netlink and local municipal partners, as well as through the Wheat Belt Community Futures Development Corp., a partner with Industry Canada’s Broadband for Rural and Northern Development Pilot Program.
