Zayo Bandwidth Restructures

Zayo Bandwidth CEO Dan Caruso said Thursday the company has restructured and formed Zayo Group, which will include three business units.

He said with the recent acquisitions of four regional fiber networks and a retail VoIP company, the restructuring will broaden the company’s service offerings.

The units will be Zayo Bandwidth, Onvoy Voice Services and Zayo Managed Services. Zayo Group is based in Louisville, Colo.

Zayo Bandwidth offers fiber-based bandwidth services for carriers, technology companies, government, education, health care, financial service companies and other entities with large and growing needs for bandwidth.

Onvoy Voice Services provides tandem switched access, long-distance, SS7, directory assistance and operator services to LECs and other communications providers.

Zayo Managed Services enables private and public sector companies to avoid self-managing voice, video and data services by deploying and managing those services for its customers.

Zayo Bandwidth services are available to customers in Minnesota, Indiana, Memphis, Tenn., and throughout the Northeast. Initially, Onvoy Voice Services will be available to those customers in Minnesota and surrounding states, but later will be expanded to other regions. Zayo Managed Services will offer solutions to customers in Minnesota, Colorado and Ohio.

John Scarano, co-founder and COO of Zayo Group, will serve as president of Zayo Bandwidth. Dennis Kyle is president of Zayo Managed Services and Fritz Hendricks, former COO of Onvoy, is now president of Onvoy Voice Services.
