For now, however, three screens means making the same kind of content available in different packages for TVs, PCs and wireless devices, whether it’s a movie, a TV show or something shorter for both.
In related AT&T U-verse news, the exec said U-verse will soon enable consumers to receive two concurrent HD channels, so they could watch and HD program and record a second, for example. Presently, tthe service only supports one at a time.
That’s a competitive disadvantage given the widespread purchase of DVRs and the fast-climbing availability of HD content – the later being promoted by all types of video service providers.
