Carrier Ethernet transport solution provider Ethos Networks is making its U.S. trade show debut this week at NXTcomm in Las Vegas. The four-year-old company made generally available its portfolio, which includes two Carrier Ethernet transport switches, which employ PBB-TE technology, and a management system that allows service providers to monitor and optimize their networks, said company co-founder Adam Dunsky. “Service providers don’t really know what’s going on within the network,” said Dunsky. But the Ethos solution, which does centralized management, can help them with that and without adding a lot of cost and complexity to the network, he added. The company has yet to name it customers, but Dunsky said it is in trials now.
